Check Your Lights and Optics: November 2016 Edition

| December 2, 2016 | 1 Comments

November’s “Check Your Lights and Optics” results:

Total dead optics found: 0/11

Total dead weapon mounted lights: 0/4

Total dead handheld lights found: 0/5

Total dead safe lights found: 1/3

The IKEA “Dioder” motion activated LED light died again. That thing chews through six AAA batteries very quickly. I replaced the batteries in April of this year. Accounting for an average of 4 activations a day (the light activates on open and closing), alkaline batteries go from 100% to 0 in 8 months, roughly 1000 activations.

I’ve purchased some rechargeable batteries to take the sting out of the battery drain.

How’d you do this month?
