3×3 Review: Immediate Action Pugilism with Cecil Burch September 2016
Day 2 of the Immediate Actions Combatives course was Immediate Action Pugilism, a combination class of striking and standup grappling.
I’ve been spending more time lately with grappling / Jiu-jitsu, and I definitely felt less comfortable with striking at this point. I’m grateful that we had some private instruction from one of our instructors earlier this year — it made a BIG difference compared to some students who were completely new to punching and footwork.
It was an honor to host Cecil Burch of Immediate Action Combatives for his two-day seminar on ground fighting, standing grappling, and striking.
Here’s my 3×3 review of Day 2, explaining the top three things covered in class, the top three things I learned, and the top three things I’m going to change.
I highly recommend Cecil’s Immediate Action Pugilism class, either by itself or in combination with the Immediate Action Jiu-jitsu class.

Great review. Really enjoyed the class and your review of it. All the best.
Great review. I live in Minnesota as well…every time I see training like this I wish I had taken part–how do you keep up to date and in-the-know about weekend training seminars like this? I wish I had heard about it…
It’s too expensive for my wife and I to travel to more than few sessions a year, so we started bringing people to us 🙂
We organized two events so far this year, with two more on the way. The best way to find out about these is to follow us on Facebook ; we’ve advertised all of the events there.

I hope to see you at a future event!
