Check Your Lights and Optics: May 2016 Edition

May’s “Check Your Lights and Optics” results:

Total dead optics found: 0/11

Total dead weapon mounted lights: 0/4

Total dead handheld lights found: 0/5

Total dead safe lights found: 1/3

The motion activated LED lights I use in one of my safes was dim enough that I replaced the batteries. It makes me worry about the overall quality of these things ; that safe hardly gets opened and with three AA batteries I feel like it should stay operable for much longer.

One of the many benefits from working home instead of downtown is that I’m using my flashlights a lot less. I probably only used my Olight M18 10 times all month aside from the usual “pre-flight” drill I do every time I get dressed.

How’d you do this month?
