Force on Force: Tailgunner, 2017

Over two years ago, I wrote about the dangers of “tailgunners,” hidden helpers of violent criminal actors who serve as lookouts for interfering law enforcement and “good guys.”

Last Saturday I attended a force on force scenario training class held by QSI Training. One student had a tailgunner scenario, and unfortunately it followed the several others before it: the good guy fixated on the primary bad guy, and the tailgunner was victorious.

Here’s a short video about tailgunners, tips on how to spot them, and two more examples from force on force training.
