Reader upgrades to LED motion sensor lights
Over a year ago I wrote about using motion sensor lights in gun safes. The drawback to LED lights is that they often have extremely bright white LEDs. This is likely to effect your night vision — hardly something you want to happen while things are going bump in the night.
My original idea was to use red cellophane to tint the light red. The cellophane did the job, but the light was a purplish-pink. My implementation was sloppy.
Luckily, several readers contacted me with better ideas. Here are my two favorites.
