SIG SBX Availability Update

| October 9, 2014 | 4 Comments

I ordered my SIG Sauer SBX arm brace on August 7th, 2014. I was directed to call the sales number by SIG’s Facebook page administrators — they stated the SBX was ready for order, but the Web site said “out of stock.” To my knowledge, the Web site has never taken orders but if I’m wrong please let me know.

When I talked to the telephone sales representative at SIG Sauer he stated I was the first order he’d taken for the SBX and I’d be among one of the first consumers in the US to get one. He also was very up front he had no idea when they would be available.

Fast forward to earlier this week. Someone on called SIG about their SBX order and was told it would be at least February before the new brace came out. That seemed like a very long time, so yesterday I called my sales representative back and asked him about my order.

He looked up my order number. He then put me on hold, talked with a product manager, and said I should expect the SBX to ship sometime next month.

We’ll see ; hopefully I will have the SBX in my possession and ready for review before the Christmas holiday.

Thanks for the update. I’ve been confused about this product for a while now given that Sig’s website makes it look like the SBX has been released and there are zero reviews out there etc.

I’m excited to see the SBX coming out. As much as I love the idea of the SB-15, I just haven’t spent the money yet. When you review it, please let us know how it compares to the SB-15, especially in regard to both feel and weight. If you would weigh them both, that would be great. And as you said, some people are concerned with how well it will work for improvised duties.

Just saw them listed as in stock this morning and placed an order. Called customer service about fiveinutes ago and Andy the rep confirmed they are in stock and accepting orders. Should ship within 48 hrs. I’ll try to come back here with photos and review sometime this weekend or next week whenever it arrives. Andy would give no info as to the MPX timeframe though. Guess next year is looking more and more likely for those.
